Beth and Brian had a spectacular San Francisco City Wedding and the day started with getting ready in downtown San Francisco at one of the oldest and grandest hotels San Francisco Union Square has to offer. Formerly the Sir Francis Drake now the Beacon Grand Hotel Let me tell you, this is where you want to get ready and stay if you want to offer your guests a true San Francisco experience in the heart of San Francisco. This hotel is steps from the Cable Car Line that connects downtown to the Fishermans Wharf and the rooms and interior architecture make this hotel an excellent choice for the backdrop of photography to start your wedding day.
Wedding Preparations
Wedding Ceremony
After getting ready, we then rode over to St Dominic’s Catholic Church for the ceremony where we coordinated a first look with the Bride and Groom before guests arrived inside this stunning church. The couple said ‘I do’ in front of family and friends and then enjoyed a colorful confetti departure from the church and jumped in their getaway car over to the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park for photographs.
I have to add, this location has some of THE best backdrops for memorable and unique wedding day photographs. I was inspired and excited to photograph here! Guests were treated to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and enjoyed the rare and exotic plant collection before heading over to the Conservatory of Flowers Event Space for dinner and dancing.
I had the honor to photograph Beth and Brian’s engagement session as well as their wedding and they were such a joy and pleasure to work with. An engagement session is always highly recommended, it allows us to get to know each other before the wedding day, get you comfortable in front of the camera and lets you take advantage and make good use of that makeup trial to see how your look translates on film.
Again, I left my heart in San Francisco. Beautiful couple, incredible San Francisco venues and backdrops and some of the best San Francisco Wedding Vendors.
Thank you Beth and Brian for allowing me the honor to document your very special day and as always thank you to the talented vendors below.
