An elegant building and historical San Francisco landmark featuring exquisite architecture inside and out, San Francisco City Hall is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the country. Around every corner of this building is a stunning backdrop for wedding photography and the natural light in this building is second to none. With that being said, I’ve put this page together to share some tips.

5 Tips for Your San Francisco City Hall Wedding
Arrive early, this feels like a no brainer piece of advice, but San Francisco City Hall is located in a busy area of the city and it is also open to the public Monday to Friday and office staff so allow ample time to find parking and get yourself through security.
If your budget allows, try and book the fourth floor for your ceremony. Especially if you have a small group of guests in attendance. This floor offers a lot more privacy and a more intimate ceremony experience for both you and your wedding party. You can of course venture up there after your ceremony as the City Hall offers multiple options within the building to say ‘I do’ but the forth floor is one of my favorite spots.
Before securing your date, check the city schedule. San Francisco City Hall is a popular spot to host a variety of events inside and out so be sure to see what’s going on in the city that day before booking your date.
Be sure to allow time before or after your ceremony for photography inside and out of this stunning historical building. We are so incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful city hall and couples travel from all over the country to get married here so I always highly recommend we spend some additional time here for your wedding photo’s.
